Hey Everyone,
The day has FINALLY arrived. My first single, "I'm So Proud" is available on all the streaming and download platforms. Head on over to the website if you want to download it for free. We had fun making a music video. I had to refine my video editing skills. Considering I had never done that before, I actually had to learn how to edit. Here is a link to the video on YouTube: I'm So Proud Music Video.
A lot of thank yous need spread around for this effort and the other songs I will be releasing in the coming months.
First and foremost is Ben Townsend. Ben is an amazing musician/producer/pastor/international man of mystery. He encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and make original music. He produced, performed, and cowrote everything I will release. I am incredibly grateful that he leant his considerable skills to this effort. And the dude is an insanely close friend…that's even more important than the work.
The next two thank yous go to Bill Bower and Parker Schrecengost. I met both of these guys a few years ago on a bicycle ride. For a long while, we rode bicycles up and down the hills of Western Maryland without knowing we all played music. Well, once I learned they had skilz outside of their crazy hill climbing bicycling abilities, I asked them if they would be interesting in joining my and Ben's project. They were all in from the minute I asked. Parker is an amazing drummer. He adds the drive and touch the tunes needed. Bill is an equally amazing guitarist. His color on every tune is spot on. He knows exactly when to add a light touch to a specific section and what parts of the song are screaming for that enveloping country-rock riff.
My wife Julie deserves a HUGE thank you. She has listened to me share my thoughts, insecurities, success, and everything else over this artistic process. For those of you that do know her, you know how awesome she is.
Lastly, to ALL of you…THANK YOU!!! Everyone has been so encouraging and eager to hear what is happening. I can't wait to hear what you think and share the rest of what we have produced.
