It's been a week since I released my first single. On the whole, INCREDIBLY FUN!!!
It's so cool to put something out there and then hear how it resonates with everyone. The biggest complaint so far is that a lot of people can't get the chorus out of their mind once they hear it. Yep, “I'm So Proud” is an ear worm of sorts. I hope it's an ear worm that keeps you thinking of the good things in your life. The song is a dedication to my wife and kids and I think the heart of the song can be applied to anything in your life. We all have something or someone deserving a shout out of the last line in the chorus… “I'm so proud of you!”
There's a lot that goes into letting the world hear your music. First there is the actual making of the music. That creative process is incredibly fun. Then there is the telling the world about your music. No one is simply going to knock on my front door and ask if I have something they might like to hear. So, I've been trying a lot of social media posts and contacting some music blogs. I've never used TikTok before but so far that seems to be the best way to share my music outside of Facebook. It's been very fun to watch the first week of Spotify growth…about 100 streams and 62 monthly listeners. For a guy who had zero everything last Thursday…I'm very encourage by all this support all of you have given me.
