In just five days my third single will be released. This one deals with the loss of two friends several decades ago. Not just me, but the entire 1986 Ridgeley Middle School 8th grade class, the entire community of Ridgeley, WV, and the families of two teenage boys lived through “Hell On The Potomac” when Jason Schaeffer and Todd Shipley tragically drowned in the the Potomac River on November 3rd, 1986. Here’s a page dedicated to them in the 1986 Ridgeley Middle School year book.  In the coming weeks, I’ll have a lot more to share about Jason and Todd. Right now, I want to give just a little head’s up about a song I hope tells an important Ridgeley story. The events during a few dark days in the winter of 1986 have stuck with all us who knew them for decades now. |
